EDUCATIONAL RESOURCES

In 2022, I worked with the music history education group The Blues & Beyond,
to develop lessons surrounding African American history and the role music created by Black & Indigenous people
played in telling those histories. On top of covering traditional Blues music and spirituals composed during enslavement,
I also got the opportunity to create a bitesized version of the ideas explored in my most recent book (What is Goth? & Other Essays),
exploring the gothic elements of these genres, and how Black people have interacted with the gothic.
After making it exclusive to teachers & students only via TBB, I'm pleased to now publicly share this work with you,
and invite you to access this small hub of educational resources to share with family, friends, students & colleagues alike.
